Vending Placement

When it comes to having a successful vending machine business the location is vital to your overall profits. It takes plenty of research in order to select the best vending placement. Think about places where people frequently go that could use vending machines. Chances are if they are available they will get used in such locations.

The problem with vending placement is that you can’t just pick a location where you want them and have them installed. You have to go through the proper channels to make sure you can put them where you want to. You may have to be convincing that they are needed in the area. In many instances you will have to pay for the space where you are interested in vending placement.

While you are investigating various locations for vending placement, you need to think about the flow of traffic that it will have throughout the year. Some locations are very popular for a couple of months due to activities in the area. While this will generate some income during that period of time, you need to keep looking for better vending locations.

It is also important to take a close look at the quality of the vending machines you are leasing or purchasing. If they don’t offer dollar bill acceptance you may end up losing business. Not everyone walks around with enough change for the vending machines. Make sure they are in good working condition so those who frequent the area will continue to use them. Once they get the feeling that your vending machines are ripping them off, they will avoid them like the plague.

Make sure you place the vending machines in an area where you can easily access them. This way you can collect the funds from the machines and restock them at the same time without any trouble. Sometimes the location for vending placement is very crowded at particular times so you will want to do your stocking at other times of the day so you don’t hinder other activities taking place.

It is a good idea to offer a variety of different items in the machine. You can use the vending placement to help you decide what to stock in them. For example if you place the vending machine outside of a health club you will want to include various types of juice and water. If you are placing the vending machine outside of a baseball field you will want to include a variety of drinks that people of all ages will enjoy.

You need to do the leg work for vendor placement on your own in order to get quality results. Don’t depend on the use of a vending locator as most of them are scams. If you take a look online you will find plenty of complaints about them. There are some of them involved in lawsuits that continue to drag out in the courts. Others simply have ran their scam and disappeared with the money of trusting people just like you.

Rob
After having read your new book, I must say I was amazed by a couple of things 1. How the "industry" does it, and how if you break it down, the art of locating is simple at its most basic. This is not rocket science, its vending. I am going to recommend that any friend of mine drop a quarter in the machine and pick up this book and read. Even my non vending friends. I liked the simple strait forward style, and enjoyed the clear explanations. Great all around business book as well. Thanks for writing this, as it was defiantly needed in the industry.
